It was equipped with rubber-rimmed wheels, which will be replaced in subsequent production from February 1944, as well as a new turret with increased protection and a better cupola for the commander. In addition, some of these vehicles retained a characteristic Feifel dust filter system in addition to smoke grenade launchers.
