Self-propelled M40 TAMIYA 1:35

During phases of World War II, the Semovente M40 was fielded by Italian forces. It imitated the very successful German Sturmgeschutz III. Using the hull of the Carro Armato M13/40, the Semovente M40 was armed with a 75 mm howitzer. From late 1941, the M40 was deployed on the North African hot front and was rapidly put into action in early 1942 in tank battles and support duties. The self-propelled M40 proved to be very resistant and was considered the toughest tank in Italy on the North African front.
