Revell 06054 X-Wing Fighter + TIE Fighter Collector Set Level 3. X-Wing Fighter 1/57 Scale + TIE Fighter 1/65 Scale. TIE fighter (TIE stands for Twin Ion Engine) is a space fighter from the Star Wars universe that first appeared on the cinema screen in the 1977 film "Star Wars" (Episode IV) and was subsequently appeared in many other parts of the space saga. The basic version of the TIE fighter is assumed to have been approximately 6.3 meters long, approximately 6.4 meters wide and approximately 7.6 meters high. Of course, these are only indicative data. Drive was provided by a Sienar P-s4 dual ion engine and its armament consisted of two Sienar L-s1 laser cannons. The TIE Fighter has served as the Galactic Empire's primary fighter at many times, with Sienar Fleet Systems as its primary manufacturer. At the time of entry into service, machines of this type were characterized by low construction costs and a very simple structure. For example, they had no force shields and their pilots had to carry special oxygen containers with them. At the same time, however, the TIE Fighter had a clear advantage in maneuverability and speed over enemy fighters, especially the Y-Wing or Z-95. However, it did not match the performance of the machine popularly known as the X-Wing, the Incom T-65 machine. It was also much less durable, which caused significant casualties among the pilots who flew it. The X-wing (also known as Incom T-65) is a space fighter in the Star Wars universe, which fights in the ranks of the Rebellion. He first appeared on the screen in the film "Star Wars: A New Hope" (part I or IV of the saga). Standard armament consists of four laser cannons on the wingtips and two proton torpedo launchers. The length of the vehicle is 12.5 meters. Drive is provided by four ion engines. The X-Wing also has maneuvering and stabilization engines. The X-wing was designed and largely produced at Incom as a far-reaching development of the Z-95 fighters. It is worth noting that pilots of this type of fighter could almost always count on the help of astromech droids R2 and R4 in combat missions. Fighters of this type formed the backbone of the Rebel forces during the Battle of Yavin (year O BBY), and it was this type of fighter that was piloted by Luke Skywalker during the attack on the Death Star during that battle. The X-Wing fighters also performed very well during the Battle of Endor (Year 4 ABY).
