Sparkling realism Scania is a world-famous manufacturer of large trucks and buses and this is an R/C model of the 3-axle R620 6X4 Highline with a 620 hp V8 engine, the flagship model of the R-Series range that won the International Truck of the Year 2005. The truck's characteristic body style is reproduced in great detail. The cab tilts forward just like the real truck and the mesh grille and metal emblems further enhance the truck's realistic appearance. The model features a ladder frame with aluminium channels, 3-speed transmission, suspension with metal leaf springs and friction shock absorbers and rear axles equipped with differentials. Exterior details such as side panels, fuel tanks and rear fenders provide the finishing touches. The included coupler allows you to connect to any of Tamiya's currently available 1/14 scale trailers and the R620 is also compatible with a wide range of optional tractor parts. Realistic lights, sounds and vibrations The Multi-Function Control Unit (MFC-01) (included for the Japanese market only) provides lights, sounds and vibrations operation to accompany your R/C truck experience. The engine sounds have been digitally recorded from the real truck and, together with the horn, gear shifting and many other realistic sounds, make you feel like you're driving the real thing. Headlights, brake lights and direction indicator operation are also available to hand. Semi-trailers available separately Various trailer types are available including semi-trailer, tank trailer and pole trailer. Connect any of them to the Scania R620 to create an exciting combination over 1 metre long. Additionally, the multi-function control unit (MFC-01) enables realistic low-speed running with a semi-trailer attached.
